Pharmacological action: The drug acts on the early agamogenesis phase of coccidian. It arrests the propagation of coccidian spores through interfering DNA synthesis when the drug enters into the spores. Hence, decoquinate can avoid the damage of coccidiosis from the early developmental stage of coccidian in chickens. The drug can be absorbed quickly and reach the effective concentration in 1 hour. The trials showed that decoquinate is a high-active coccidiostat with an anti-coccidiosis index of above 180.
Application: Used for a kind of coccidiostat in chick.
Usage and Dosage: Intermingled rearing.27.2g per ton of feedstuff with a continuous treatment upon 7 to 14 days.
Precaution:1. The drug should be prohibited during layering period.
2. Do not mix with feedstuff containing bentonite.
